Our bed and breakfast accommodation Avonhurst, is situated at the end of a small private road just over a mile to the west of Ringwood town centre.
Our south facing garden is a feature of the property with a heated swimming pool, (open during the summer), and gardens of over an acre which back onto the water meadows of the Avon Valley with far reaching views of the New Forest.
The room was a good size, spotlessly clean with an extremely comfortable bed and an en-suite with everything I needed. Breakfast was provided to an excellent standard and the views were breath-taking.
Our closest pub is the Fish Inn which is around 15 minute’s walk down Hurn Lane. Built in the 16th century The Fish has probably always been a stopping off or even maybe a staging post for people en route. Although close to the main A31 don’t be put off by this as both the grounds and the inn itself are surprisingly unspoilt.
Ringwood Brewery is a bit old Ringwood in action. Their brewery and adjoining shop is situated off Christchurch Road and is open Monday to Saturday 9am–5:30pm. Here you can buy their famous beers including Doombar, Old Thumper and Fortyniner on draft or in bottles. They also sell all sorts of other Ringwood brewery goodies.
